Gilmanton School District is comprised of the unincorporated rural village of Gilmanton and portions of 8 townships in central Buffalo County and of 1 township in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. The Gilmanton community is dedicated to their school and the students.

Gilmanton Middle and High School are housed together in a 3-story building. Although the majority of teachers in the middle and high school are certified to teach multiple grades, there is only one teacher per department.
